Frequently Asked Questions

How do I sync workouts from the iOS app to the website?

Workouts are automatically synced when you complete them in the iOS app. Make sure you're logged into the same account on both the app and website. After finishing a workout, it should appear on your dashboard within a few minutes.

Why isn't my GPS tracking working properly?

Ensure location services are enabled for Track This Run in your iPhone settings. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > Track This Run and select 'While Using the App' or 'Always'. For best results, make sure you have a clear view of the sky when starting your workout.

How do I connect with friends on Track This Run?

Navigate to the Friends section from your dashboard. You can search for friends by username or email, send friend requests, and once accepted, you'll see each other's activities and can give kudos on workouts. You'll also appear on the weekly leaderboard together.

Can I export my workout data?

Yes! Your workout data syncs with Apple HealthKit on iOS. All your workouts, including GPS routes and heart rate data, are saved to Apple Health and can be accessed by other fitness apps.

How do activity streaks work?

Your activity streak counts consecutive days with at least one recorded workout. Log a workout each day to maintain your streak. The app will warn you if you're about to break your streak. Reach milestones at 7, 14, 30, and 100 days!

What workout types are supported?

Track This Run supports Running, Cycling, Walking, Hiking, Swimming, Yoga, and Elliptical workouts. Each activity type has optimized tracking and displays appropriate metrics for that sport.

How does the AI workout analysis work?

After completing a workout, our AI analyzes your performance data including pace, heart rate zones, splits, and elevation to provide personalized insights and coaching tips. This feature helps you understand your workout patterns and improve over time.

How do I delete my account and data?

You can delete your account and all associated data from your dashboard settings. For detailed instructions, visit our Data Deletion page.

Why are my personal records not showing?

Personal records are calculated from workouts synced to Track This Run. Make sure your workouts are syncing properly from the iOS app. Records track your fastest 5K, 10K, half-marathon times, longest distance, and highest elevation gain.

How does the weekly leaderboard work?

The weekly leaderboard ranks you and your friends by total distance covered during the current week (Monday to Sunday). It updates in real-time as workouts are logged. Compete for the top spot and earn bragging rights!

Getting Started

  1. Download Track This Run from the App Store
  2. Create an account or log in with your existing credentials
  3. Grant location and HealthKit permissions when prompted
  4. Start your first workout by tapping the Record tab

Recording a Workout

  1. Open the app and go to the Record tab
  2. Select your workout type (Running, Cycling, Hiking, etc.)
  3. Tap "Start Workout" to begin tracking
  4. View your live metrics including distance, pace, and duration
  5. Slide to finish when done, then save your workout

🔧 Troubleshooting

⚠️ Workouts not syncing

  1. Check your internet connection
  2. Make sure you're logged into the same account on app and website
  3. Try logging out and back in on the iOS app
  4. Force close and reopen the app
  5. Check if the workout appears in Apple Health

⚠️ GPS shows wrong location

  1. Ensure location services are enabled for Track This Run
  2. Move to an area with clear sky view
  3. Wait 10-15 seconds after starting before moving
  4. Restart your iPhone if issues persist
  5. Check if other apps have the same GPS issues

⚠️ App crashes or freezes

  1. Make sure you have the latest app version from the App Store
  2. Restart the app
